To keep your account on Asian DVD Club you need to read and obey these rules.
Please take a moment to read them before you start using Asian DVD Club.

| :: General Rules |
- All users of this site must read and agree with the user agreement.
- People who attempt to manipulate their ratio or to cheat will be banned automatically by our cheat monitoring script. So for your own sake, do not try to cheat. 'Cause you will get caught, and you will be banned. Not just from ADC but also from other sites, as we share cheaters' IPs with other BitTorrent sites.
- Breaking rules or ignoring staff directions will earn you a warning (
 ). A warning means you cannot download more than one torrent at a time. It also means you must be on your absolute best behavior while the warning is in effect.
- If you break a rule while you are under a warning (), you will be banned from ADC permanently.
- Bans are final and can not be appealed. Once you are out, you are out for good.
- Duplicate accounts are forbidden and will result in the banning of all related accounts. Two accounts are considered duplicates if the same person made them or they share the same IP. If you share an Internet connection with someone who wants to have their own ADC account, you must speak with a staff member about it; otherwise, we will be forced to assume that both accounts belong to you and that you are intentionally breaking the rules.
Whether or not you share an Internet connection with anyone, you are allowed to share your account with somebody that you trust. Keep in mind that ultimately you are responsible for anything done with your account, so be smart about whom you let use your account.
- Torrents with a golden chest (
 ) are considered "free leech", which means downloading them will not affect your download stats, but uploading on a golden torrent will still count towards your upload stats. This means that your ratio can only get better when downloading golden torrents. They are a great place to start for new users worried about their ratio.
Note: Golden torrents do not give you the right to hit-and-run, you must seed on them just as with any other torrent. |
| :: Ratio Rules |
- To keep your membership in Asian DVD Club, you will have to stay above a certain ratio. It is solely your responsible to keep yourself above the required ratio. If you fall below the minimum necessary ratio you will receive a warning and be required to get your ratio above the minimum before the warning period expires. Members who fail to exceed the following requirements will receive a warning:
• Downloaded less than 10 GB: no required ratio
• Downloaded between 10 and 40 GB: 0.5 ratio
• Downloaded between 40 and 70 GB: 0.6 ratio
• Downloaded between 70 and 100 GB: 0.7 ratio
• Downloaded more than 100 GB: 0.8 ratio
- Failure to meet these requirements will result in a warning (). The standard warning period is 14 days, but staff, at their discretion, are able to issue warnings of any length. If you have been warned, you will have received a warning message from the system informing you of the duration of the warning, as well as the reason for the warning. If no duration was specified in the message, then your warning was set for an indefinite duration.
- Warned members are required to get their ratio above the requisite level before the end of the warning period. Failure to do so will result in a ban. Continuing abusive leeching after receiving a warning will result in a ban long before your warning period is set to end. Members who have met the requirements at the end of the warning period will have their warning removed.
- If you have been working hard to improve your ratio but are afraid that you won't be able to fix it within the original warning duration, you can PM a staff member (preferably the one who warned you) and ask for an extension. If the staff member feels that you have, in fact, been seeding as much as possible and you were not just digging yourself into a deeper hole by downloading non-golden torrents, then they may give you some extra time. But if you've made no real effort to fix your ratio it is unlikely that you will receive an extension.

- No language other than English in the forums and torrent comments.
- All majorly anti-social behavior must be confined to the Sandbox sub-forum. Keep the rest of the forums clean.
- Pornography is NOT allowed on ADC, no exceptions.
- Suggestive images (such as Pinku DVD covers) must not be displayed on the site (such as a thumbnail) but linked to with a text link. And you must warn people about the NSFW (Not Safe For Work) character of your images.
- Absolutely no racist comments allowed anywhere.
- No heavy images; keep it web-optimised.
- No double-posting. If you wish to post again, and yours is the last post in the thread, please use the EDIT function rather than posting twice in a row.
- No spoilers when discussing movies - use the provided spoiler tag.
- Referral scams and other spam-like postings are forbidden.
- Lastly, please read the FAQ before asking any questions!

| :: Avatar Guidelines - Please try to follow these guidelines |
- The allowed formats are .gif, .jpg, and .png.
- Be considerate. Resize your images to a width of 150 pixels and a size of no more than 200 KB. (Browsers will rescale them anyway: smaller images will be expanded and will not look good; larger images will just waste bandwidth and CPU cycles.)
- No pornography or highly suggestive avatars.
We want a club where all users feel comfortable. This includes our female users. Therefore porn, nudity, or highly suggestive avatars are NOT allowed. This includes anime/manga. Choose an avatar that you think represents you in some way, not a chick in bikini.

- Only DVDs are allowed.
- Only Asian DVDs are allowed. For details on what is considered Asian, check this map.
- Pornography is not allowed. This includes hentai. No exceptions.
